Dobrich

Built on the site of a former Roman fortress Dobrich is situated in the Dobroudzha plateau in north eastern Bulgaria, 512 km north east of the capital Sofia, approx 50 km northwest of Varna airport and 37 km southwest of the Romanian border.

Due to its good climate and soil conditions Dobrich is one of biggest agricultural producers in Bulgaria.

A market town rich in culture and history, you can see examples of the traditional crafts and costumes in the museums as well a collection of icons in the art gallery. For souvenirs you can browse through the workshops in the old town and buy hand made wooden toys and crocheted lace sold by the local women. There are also plenty of clubs, entertainment and restaurants where visitors can relax.
