Montana
The town of Montana is situated on the river Ogosta near the Ogasta Dam one of biggest artificial lakes on the Balkan Peninsula. 113 km from the capital Sofia, 50 km south of the Danube , 102 km southeast of Vidin and 41 km north west of Vratsa.
Visitors are attracted to the lake for recreation and sports as well as protected places for viewing unique bird species - pelicans, swans and wild geese. There are many other places of interest to visit including The Museum of History and the Kiril Petrov art gallery.
Montana also has a lot of small restaurants which offer high quality food and the town has several night clubs.
