Sozopol

Just 31km south of Burgas sits Sozopol that has remained largely hidden from Western European tourists until recently. The town is popular with Eastern European visitors and Bulgarians but lately British tourists have found the beauty of this atmospheric fishing harbour town. The harbour is filled with the fishing boats that supply the restaurants on the promenade with fresh seafood and cars are banned from the town centre during the summer. The city of Burgas with its international airport is only 20 minutes away along the new dual carriageway.
