Targovishte

Targovishte is located in the north east of Bulgaria situated in the fertile Danube plain, 339 km from the capital Sofia, 110 km from Varna and 100 km from Rousse.

Targovishte has undergone a period of transition over the last few years and due to its good infrastructure has attracted a lot of investment to improve the economy and its successful development.

The town is well known as an agricultural and wine producing region with plenty of artificial lakes and forests - rich in game and picturesque landscape. Combined with its historical and cultural heritage, cafes, restaurants and shops plus a good railway and transport system Targovishte has a lot to offer the tourist.
