Yambol

Yambol is situated on the banks of the Toundzha River 304 km from the capital of Sofia, 92 km from Bourgas and 189 km from Varna. The town is one of the oldest in Bulgaria dating back to pre historic times.

The Yambol Bezisten is one of the most interesting and well preserved architectural monuments in Bulgaria dating from the 15th century. It is has been restored and now has an indoor market which is an ideal place for souvenirs. There are many other places of interest including art galleries, museums and an observatory and planetarium.
